"Need Advice on Book Editing Process"

Hey everyone,

I’m currently editing my first book and feeling a bit overwhelmed. I’ve done multiple read-throughs, but I keep finding errors. I’m considering hiring a professional editor, but I’m not sure what type of editing I need—developmental, copyediting, or proofreading?

Has anyone here used a professional affordable Book Editing services for their book? I came across Barter. Books Publishers, and they offer different editing services. If anyone has experience with them or can recommend a good editor, I’d really appreciate it!

Also, what’s your self-editing process like before handing your book over to a professional? Any tools or techniques that help? Looking forward to your advice!
